The website

This website describes our shop, departments and services. It is provided for information; placing an order happens in person, by phone or by email, and a contract is formed only when we accept your order (in the shop, over the phone or by confirming a delivery).

Prices and payment

• Shelf and website prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable.
• We may change prices at any time, but the price you are quoted for an accepted order is the price you pay.
• We accept cash and all major debit and credit cards, including contactless and mobile payments. Card payments are processed by our regulated payment provider.

Deliveries

Local delivery is offered free of charge on qualifying orders (currently £15 or more) within 1.5 miles of the shop. Delivery slots are agreed when you order. If nobody is home, we will try to contact you; perishable goods that cannot be re-delivered safely will be returned to the shop for collection.

Age-restricted goods

We operate Challenge 25 for alcohol, knives, solvents and all other age-restricted lines. If you look under 25, please have ID ready — refused sales are recorded and reported where required by law.
